Meeting of the One Health High-Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP), 15 & 16 June 2026

Overview

This report summarizes the proceedings of the One Health High-Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP) meeting held on June 15–16, 2026. This session marked a significant milestone as the panel convened for the first time following the official extension of its second term through April 2027.

Discussions focused on finalizing key deliverables for the upcoming World One Health Congress in Lisbon, specifically the Enablers and Barriers (E&B) of One Health implementation analysis and the One Health international instruments mapping. Participants reviewed the Quadripartite’s strategic direction, shifting from framework development to practical, country-level implementation and discussed how OHHLEP can best provide evidence-based scientific advice to support these efforts. Key agenda items included the consolidation of implementation recommendations, the integration of cross-cutting themes like community engagement and environmental equity, and planning for future advisory outputs through April 2027.
