Report of the second meeting of the WHO Technical Advisory Group on Health, Migration and Displacement
9–10 June 2026
Overview
The second meeting of the WHO Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on Health, Migration and Displacement brought together TAG experts, WHO representatives and invited observers to identify strategic priorities for advancing the health of migrant and displaced populations.
Building on the inaugural TAG meeting, discussions focused on WHO's ongoing health and migration research activities and the areas with the greatest potential to strengthen evidence, policy and implementation. The meeting also discussed progress on the Migration Health Data Initiative and its roadmap, highlighting priorities for the development of products and approaches to support the implementation of WHO's Fourteenth General Programme of Work and Programme Budget 2026–2027, in line with existing frameworks and indicators.
In addition, the TAG discussed proposed thematic workstreams and collaboration modalities to guide its future support to WHO's Health and Migration Programme. This report summarizes the key discussions, recommendations and priority actions emerging from the meeting.
